Named a Best Green MBA by The Princeton Review, Bard College offers a hybrid program for full-time and part-time students pursuing an MBA in Sustainability.

Two-thirds of the degrees are taught in person in Dumbo, with the remainder being taught online.

“Think of it as 20 four-day retreats held over two years, tied together online,” said Dr. Eban Goodstein, director of the Bard Environmental Policy Center.

The MBA teaches traditional business school courses to improve environmental performance and profitability. It attracts students from diverse backgrounds, such as dancers, teachers, biologists and bankers, who work in groups of four students on pro bono consulting projects for companies over two semesters, earning six credits.

It could be finance, strategy, marketing, operations or ESG reporting to help companies move to renewable energy, Goodstein said.

According to Goodstein, students gain an average of $50,000 in salary after earning this degree.
