Is anyone ready for a rocket launch at the start of the week? The ASpaceX Falcon 9 rocket may lift off on Monday carrying Starlink satellites.
Weather permitting, the rocket launch will be clearly visible in the night sky over the Space Coast and Treasure Coast on Monday, April 22.

Is SpaceX launching from Florida? Monday, April 22: SpaceX Starlink
Although SpaceX has not publicly confirmed the existence of the mission, a navigation warning from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency indicates the rocket launch window will open Monday night.
Here are some details about the upcoming SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch:

You can see a rocket launch just about anywhere in Brevard. The best views of rocket launches from the Space Coast are along the beach. However, visibility will depend on weather conditions and people should ensure not to block traffic or right-of-way on the bridge and follow rules posted on the beach.
If you’re watching the launch along Titusville’s Indian River from Space View Park or Parrish Park, look directly east across the river.
If you’re walking south along the Indus River, look northeast.
Playalinda Beach or Canaveral National Seashore is the closest location to liftoff as it is almost parallel to Launch Pad 39A. At the beach, look south along the shoreline (you can even see pads from some places).

Visibility in Indian River County, St. Louis, Lucy County and Martin County, both part of the Treasure Coast, will depend on weather conditions and people should make sure not to block traffic or right-of-way on bridges and follow posted rules on the beaches. Watching rocket launches from the beach or waiting for the launch window is a great thing to do in Florida.
Volusia County, just north of Brevard County, is home to the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, where you can enjoy the view of SpaceX, NASA or United Launch Alliance rocket launches.
The best view of rocket launches from here is along the beach. Look due south. Readers also mentioned seeing rocket launches from New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach. Here are some recommended attractions:
- South New Smyrna Beach(Canaveral National Seashore), parking fees may apply. New Smyrna Beach has 17 miles of white sand. New Smyrna Beach is an eclectic, quaint beach town that has always been a haven for surfers who come to surf, despite being known as the “Shark Bite Capital of the World.”

- Mary McLeod Bethune Beach Park, 6656 S. Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach. According to the Volusia County website, Bethune Beach is located 3.5 miles south of New Smyrna Beach and 1 mile north of the Apollo Beach entrance to Canaveral National Seashore Park and features restrooms, picnic pavilions, showers and a nearby 800 feet of oceanfront walkway. The nearby Riverside Park District, located across South Atlantic Avenue, features tennis, pickle ball, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, fishing pier and restrooms. The river next to the park is a great place to spot manatees, dolphins, and pelicans.
- Apollo BeachLocated in Canaveral National Seashore (south of New Smyrna Beach). Canaveral National Seashore stretches along Florida’s east coast in Volusia and Brevard counties. To get to Apollo Beach, take Interstate 95 to Exit 249, then go east until you turn onto State Route A1A. Take SR A1A south to the park entrance.

- Bird watching pierLocated on River Road opposite the AC Delbert Municipal Pier (see above). Amenities include a 100-foot viewing dock.
